It's Spring Break, bitches*

So you know that whole "Spring Break" dream that every college student has? The one that involves going to Florida and spending every waking hour getting smashed and swimming (possibly drowning) on sandy white beaches?

Well I'm here to say fuck that shit**.

I decided to make the four and a half hour flight home, spend a week in my favorite city in the world, Los Angeles, and be an anti-Spring Breaker. Why? Well...

1. Coming from a Californian, Florida sucks. I've never been to Florida, but I still know it sucks. Our beaches our better, our weather is better, we're (as a whole) more beautiful, and we had Disneyland first.

2. I like being alone. "Fun" Spring Breaks just can't give me that.

3. Sleep.

4. Sleep.

5. Sleep.

And I could add "6. Eating whatever the hell I want, whenever the hell I want it", but that probably would have happened anywhere. For obvious reasons, I'm not getting far with having a bikini-ready body. I just can't help it that I like food so much.

Anyways, my Spring Break has been fun, relaxing, AND I found a new amazing part of LA that I had never been to before, so I think I know who's coming out on top with this one***.

*Sorry not sorry for any offensive language.
**I wasn't kidding. Seriously.
***Not intentially made as an innuendo, but interpret it how you will.

ALL the Coffee Shops!

Coffee shops are fantastic creations.

I'm not talking Starbucks. I'm talking real hole-in-the wall places where you go and soak in the mood-lighting and trying-too-hard-to-be-hipster music (that we all know we love because it's just soooo indie). Fortunately for me, Nashville has many of these such places. For example, JJ's. (*disclaimer: I'm at JJ's right now, and in exchange for free Wi-Fi, they're making me mention them). JJ's is technically a market, but in the back it has a spacious coffee shop with mixmatched tables and chairs and, of course, brick walls. I'm a sucker for brick walls.

So here I am. With Aleks (my boyfriend AKA my online chemistry homework site). And an already finished iced coffee creation that was so good yet so bad.

And honestly? Life is pretty good right now.

First Post Jitters

You know that song, "Hit the Road, Jack"? I always think of On the Road by Jack Kerouac. I'm not completely sure whether or not that was the true purpose of the song (too lazy to check Google), but I always thought that the coincidence was interesting.

Ah, but that didn't have anything to do with anything. I think that introductions are necessary, so here we go. My name is Sara. I'm going to be a college freshman. I don't know what I want to post on here yet, but I assume it will revolve around the subject of clothes, books, music and my overall weirdness. I could go on, but... I think my nonexistent readers might get bored (sorry, guys).

Until next time...

(and a huge sorry for getting that stupid song stuck in your head)
